- Progress onto an advanced, higher or degree apprenticeship
- Get trained “off the job” at college to learn new knowledge and skills
- Gain work experience as a paid employee. Develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Get paid to train and earn a salary while gaining a qualification
Apprenticeships are available in hundreds of industries
We work with around 700 employers to provide apprenticeships in hundreds of industries, from the largest employers in the country through to small, ambitious businesses that are keen to grow. We deliver training both on and off the job. In most cases, you’ll come into college one day a week, as well as getting planned training and development with a mentor in the workplace.
What type of apprenticeships can I study?
There are four types of apprenticeship programmes. The level you do will depend on your qualifications, experience and the type of industry you will work in.
- Intermediate apprenticeships - Level 2, equivalent to five GCSE passes at grades 9 to 5.
- Advanced apprenticeships - Level 3, equivalent to two A Level passes
- Higher apprenticeships - Level 4 and 5, equivalent to foundation degree and above
- Degree apprenticeships - Level 6 and 7, equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
