Summary
The T Level Foundation Year Digital provides a high-quality route onto T Levels, for students who would benefit from the additional study time and preparation that it will give them before they start a Digital T-Level pathway.
The T Level Foundation Year Digital year will provide skills and knowledge with a focus on the following core aspects:
· Knowledge and Skills for the Workplace
· Industry Relevant Technical Knowledge
· Skills for Successful Study
· English, Maths and Digital Skills
· Positive Attitudes and Behaviours

Why Our College?
Equivalent to 3 A Levels
T Levels are equivalent to three A Levels and are allocated UCAS tariff points.
Developed with industry
T Levels have been designed with leading employers and businesses. They will provide you with the skills to progress to an apprenticeship, university or skilled employment.
Academic and practical
80% will be academic and technical study at college. 20% will be practical experience gained with an employer as part of an industry placement.
Entry Requirements
Achieve 5 GCSE'S at grade 3 or above, including English Language and maths.
Objective
Key principles for theT Level Foundation Year Digital Programme
1) Provide relevant preparation for what students will experience on T Levels
2) Develop core knowledge, skills and behaviours that prepare students for progressing to level 3 study in their chosen T Level route
3) Help students to make the right decision about what to do after the programme
Assessment
This T Level Foundation Year Digital programme will include a Level 2 qualification that is internally assessed through written assignments and presentations as well as externally assessed awarding body set tasks. There will also be an assessed competency-based work placement.
Progression
Progression can be to their chosen Level 3 T-Level, employment, an apprenticeship, or another course. The expectation is that students wishing to progress to the T-Level programme will have met the 90% attendance target plus have demonstrated a good level of performance in terms of work progress, behaviour, also achieving a Pass overall for the Level 2 qualification and achieving both English and Maths at a minimum of a Grade 4. This will allow progression to a their chosen Digital T Level Course.
Career Progression
This subject area can lead students into a wide variety of different occupations in a wide range of areas in technology and computing. The next steps may be to continue their studies either in an apprenticeship or other subject areas.
Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over fees may be payable.
