What our courses are about

Our information technology and computing courses will give you with the knowledge and skills  needed for a career in the digital tech sector. You will gain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge about key aspects of IT and computing. This includes programming, website development, mobile app development and cyber security.

What you will do

You will have access to high spec computers and equipment. This will allow you to design creative websites and mobile apps and learn programming and the basics of IT systems.

You can work on projects that fit with your own interests and take part in real experiences of work with employers. We also have guest speakers from local employers and IT professionals.

What you can go on to do

Courses will give you the opportunity to progress to university level study, apprenticeships or employment. You can go into a wide range of careers such as web developer, computer programmer, software engineering, software development and IT technician.

Is it suitable for you?

You need to have a keen interest in IT, an understanding of basic programming languages or some experience of designing basic websites. You also need to be resilient, good at problem solving and have an eye for detail.

Communication is also crucial as you will need to work with other students on a daily basis. If you’re interested in specialising in areas such as website development, you will need to have a creative flair.
