Summary
This apprenticeship is designed to develop the skills required for effective data analysis. As data is becoming more commonplace across all sectors, informed analysis of data can give businesses and organisations a significant advantage. This apprenticeship introduces concepts, software and tools, enabling the apprentice to gain and build skills that can translate raw data into information and knowledge, driving better business decisions.
The focus of the apprenticeship is to provide an apprentice with transferrable skills, knowledge and behaviours that are required to successfully work in any sector that requires data analysis. This apprenticeship involves studying a variety of modules in college that help to build the necessary knowledge and skills, such as scripting, data modelling and understanding data lifecycles. Teaching for the course takes place in the college’s state of the art DigiTech Factory, which provides apprentices with a hybrid learning environment where data analysis software and tools are provided (which apprentices will use at work).
You will complete the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship standard.

- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.

Fees
Apprenticeship course fees are subject to the age of the apprentice, and the size of the company.
For employers with less than 50 employees who do not pay the apprenticeship levy and who take on an apprentice who is aged between 16-21 at the start of their apprenticeship, there will be no direct cost and the full training costs will be covered by Government funding. If the apprentice is aged 22+ the government partially subsides the training costs and the employer will need to pay 5% of the costs. In the case of this course, the fee would be £750.
For an employer with more than 50 employees a 5% charge will be implemented regardless of the age of the apprentice which in this case would be £750.
A levy paying company will pay the full cost of the apprenticeship from their levy account which in this case would be £15,000.
Please note that course fees are to be paid by the employer and apprentices must not be asked to make a financial contribution toward their training.
