2. I didn't get GCSE C grades or above in English and Maths, will I still have to retake them whilst on the Apprenticeship?

Both the Level 2 Professional Cookery and Level 2 Hospitality Services Apprenticeship take approximately 12-18 months to complete.

4. I have to stay in Education until I turn 18, does an Apprenticeship qualify as continued learning or would I have to attend Sixth Form or College instead?

Yes, an Apprenticeship counts as continued learning because whilst working full time you are also working towards nationally recognised qualifications.

5. How many hours will I be working per week?

You will be working between 30-40 hours per week, most likely on a shift basis. It will vary between vacancies as each employer has a different set of requirements.

6. Is there an upper age limit?

Not at all, Apprenticeships are open to individuals of any age. The employer will however be expected to pay a contribution towards your training costs  if you are aged 19+. This is not something the Apprentice pays.
