What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship consists of a package of qualifications commonly referred to as a framework. Every Apprenticeship is made up of the following:
This part of the qualification demonstrates competence in performing the skill, trade or occupation.
This part of the qualification demonstrates the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the occupation/trade/skill.
This part is a compulsory part of the qualification that aims to develop core skills in ICT, English and Maths. Candidates are exempt from this part of the qualification if you got a grade A* - C in your GCSEs.
Employer Responsibilities and Rights
Every apprentice is required to learn about employer and employee’s statutory rights and responsibilities, equality legislation, Health & Safety, Disability Discrimination Act and the employer’s responsibilities and duties.
