BSc(Hons) Professional Aviation Engineering Practice
This programme is designed for students who wish to pursue an engineering career in the Aviation industry. The programme will provide a combination of academic study and work practice at the International Aviation Academy Norwich (IAAN) based at Norwich International Airport. This programme will be delivered in classrooms, workshops and the IAAN Emulation Zone. The BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Engineering Practice offers generic modules and specialist pathways.
Course Start Dates:
January, June, September 2017
Applicants will need 96 UCAS points (or appropriate level 3 qualification).
Mature students with a relevant industrial background may also be considered
All applicants will need GCSE English and maths (at either grade C or grade 5 and above).
Applications from students whose first language is not English are welcome. We require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, speaking, listening and reading), the required minimum is:
• IELTS (SELT): 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components)
• Or GCSE English A*-C

This programme develops the knowledge, technical skills, understanding and awareness necessary to develop a career in the technical, supervisory or management areas of the Aviation Engineering industry. The programme will provide the opportunity to complete real maintenance experience as required for B1.1/B2 licence.
The programme is assessed through a combination of EASA examinations, academic assignments, portfolios and project work.
The programme can provide a pathway to further study at Masters, M.Phil. and PhD level.
After the course you may decide to progress to Aviation engineering employment (or related area)
