A Level Results: Congratulations to all of our students!

17 Aug 2017

Congratulations to all of our students who collected their A2 and AS Level results today!

Our students celebrated another successful year after achieving a fantastic set of results with a majority of subjects getting 100% pass rates. Here's what some of our Sixth Form Centre students had to say about their grades and their time at City College Norwich:

Catherine Lee, 18, from Watton, achieved A*A*AB in Maths, Extended Project Qualification, Biology and Psychology. She is going on to study Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Catherine said:
“I cried when I opened my results because I did much better than I expected to so I was really shocked. I’m really excited to go to university and I’ve started to get everything ready. My time at City College Norwich has been brilliant, the support here has been immense and the staff really push you to do your best!”

Terry Lugo, 19, from Norwich, achieved BBB in Sociology, Psychology and Biology and is going on to study Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton. Terry said:
“When I left school I studied A Levels at another institution and completely failed so I decided to come here to try again and it’s turned out really well. I was scared to open my results but I’m really pleased with them and I’m now really excited about the new chapter in my life. I’ve had a really good experience here and have had some great teachers who have really encouraged me.”

Jordan-Joseph Ralph, 18, from Norwich, achieved ABB in Creative Writing, Sociology and Media Studies. He is now going to study Law at the University of East Anglia. Jordan-Joseph said:
“I felt surprised when I opened my results and now I’m really looking forward to going to university. I’ve loved my time at City College Norwich and the tutors have been really supportive.”

Nicola Richman, 18, from Bunwell, achieved CCC in English Language and Literature, Sociology and Business Studies. She is now starting an Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services at Face to Face Finance where she already works. Nicola said:
"I was really happy when I opened my results as the grades I got weren't what I was expecting. I really enjoy my job at the moment and I'm constantly learning at work. City College Norwich had such a lovely atmosphere and so many friendly people, but work was definitely the right decision since finishing my exams - I'm having so much fun!"

City College Norwich Principal, Corrienne Peasgood, said:
“We are incredibly proud of all of our students whose hard work and determination, together with the support received from our staff, has seen a majority of our individual course areas achieving 100% pass rates. We are also exceptionally pleased to see a significant increase in the number of students achieving the higher level A*-C grades. I would like to congratulate all of our Sixth Form Centre students on their A Level achievements and wish them every success for the next step in their learning and careers, whether that is higher education, apprenticeships or employment.”
