Groups of students from City College Norwich’s Inclusive Learning area have taken part in The Big Draw 2018, the world’s biggest celebration of drawing, which this year has the theme of play.
Different tables were hosted by students on the Creative Pathways course, who had to devise, prepare and run activities for their fellow students.
The students’ imaginative and colourful responses to the theme of play, ranged from making theatrical masks, to mobiles, to coming up with a new card game.
Cherry Hamilton, Creative Pathways Lecturer, says this peer-led learning was a great success:
This has given our Creative Pathways students the opportunity to develop and follow through their ideas, pass on skills and encourage others to take part in The Big Draw as much as they are able.
"It’s been a fun and easy way for them to meet other students, to have some influence over the curriculum, and to take on the responsibility of hosting the activities.
