Students learn about worldwide career opportunities in events management and production
8th October 2021 – Tags: Events Management and Production
Our UAL Level 3 Events Management and Production students have spent a day interviewing a diverse range of industry professionals and university lecturers to help them in making their own career plans.
The online format for the Evolve event allowed the group to put their questions to participants from far and wide. These included set designer Andy Walsley and sound engineer Daniel Snake, who are both based in the US.
Other participants from the industry and Higher Education included Bradley Watson (International Sales Director, Martin Audion), Matt Leventhall (RADA Course Leader), Ed Warren (Lighting Designer), Alex Quadanne (Stage Manager for Youth Orchestra) and Phil Broughton (Technical Manager Britannia Pier).
Rich Hanke-Hill, Events Management and Production Lecturer, said:
This annual event is invaluable for giving our students a better understanding of what their next step after college will be and the career direction they want to take. Hearing first-hand from professionals in the events management and production industry helps to open their eyes to the huge range of opportunities which are available to them, locally, nationally, and internationally.”
