Job Description
We are seeking a Chef, ideally with some experience but more importantly with passion and willingness to learn, to join us in our community owned pub in Upton, Norfolk. Joining us offers the opportunity to showcase your existing culinary skills and develop further working as part of a talented team. The team is responsible for high-quality food production, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the development of menus and seasonal specials for our village community and visitors alike. Duties:
- Undertake all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen, working efficiently and with quality as key
- Comply with food safety regulations and standards
- Support other kitchen staff and provide guidance and training as appropriate
- Maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with others to develop seasonal menus and specials
Requirements:
- Ideally you will have proven experience in food production in a pub restaurant setting but a passion and willingness to learn are just as important
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures (training will be provided as necessary)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
- Creative flair and passion for culinary arts
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Salary
Pay is commensurate with your current skills and experience and will grow as you develop.
Hours
Flexible working hours agreed with you – we are open 7 days a week over the summer with lunchtime and evening food service on each day.
