Trainee Warehouse Technician - Hydraulic

Full time - Great Yarmouth

At Aquaterra Energy we specialise in providing engineering solutions and equipment to the global offshore energy industry – helping clients drive efficient and sustainable offshore operations from drilling and field development, to decommissioning, carbon capture and storage, renewable, and hydrogen projects.

We are seeking a motivated individual with some prior experience in a mechanical or technical role who is eager to begin a career in hydraulics. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification in an engineering or mechanical discipline.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance and operation of hydraulic equipment and hydraulic power units.

• Experience of hydraulic circuit design/schematics

• Inspection of equipment returning from offshore to ascertain what remedial work/testing is required.

• Checking equipment requirements with the Warehouse Supervisor and ensuring all documentation is completed ready for dispatch.

• Dismantling, inspecting, reassembling and testing equipment within the AEL product lines.

• Maintaining and reviewing records associated with the maintenance and testing of AEL product lines.

• Taking part in FATs both at the AEL yard and at off-site premises.

• Maintaining good standards of housekeeping throughout the operations base premises.

• Ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with AEL policies and procedures and in line with ISO guidelines/requirements.

• Participation in on call rota

This role requires the unfettered right to work in the UK.

ABOUT YOU;

• Good standard of English and Mathematics

• Basic City & Guilds /NVQ qualification or equivalent in a relevant Engineering / Mechanical discipline

• Good IT skills Including Word, Excel and Outlook

• Personal drive and confidence

• Desire to develop personal and professional skills

• An unquestionable focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
