My course
When and how will I get my timetable?
We will upload your timetable to the portal that you used for enrolment. On your first day you will get your IT login details and this will let you find your timetable for the rest of the year.
Where do I go on my first day?
When you come in for enrolment we'll let you know where to go and when for your first day.
Before you come to College on your first day remember to complete a home COVID test and to tell us that you have completed it via the Portal.
If you have any queries about where to go in your first few days, you can find help at
- Norwich Building Reception for Ipswich Road campus
- Jubilee Building Reception for Easton College
- Nelson Building Reception for Paston College
- Ground Floor Reception for Norfolk House
- Main Reception for the International Aviation Academy Norwich
Maps of all the main campuses can be found on the websites (CCN map, Easton map, Paston map). If you get lost just ask: everyone's friendly and you won't be the only one!
What will I be doing in my first few days at College?
In your first few days at College you'll get to know the other students on your course, find out more about how the course will be structured and have fun! You'll be doing a number of activities to understand what it is like to be a student at our college, what we expect from you to make the most of your time with us and what you can expect from us. We want you to feel comfortable and settled into your new course and the College as soon as possible.
In addition, the Students’ Union are planning our Welcome Week for w/b 20th September so look out for more news on that soon.
I have been told I might need some special uniform or equipment for my course. Can I still come if I don’t yet have that?
Yes. Your teachers will help sort out any uniforms and/or equipment you need so just turn up and we'll make sure you have everything you need.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you know you are going to miss a class for a justified reason (for example a doctor’s appointment) please let your teacher know in advance.
If you are ill, then please call the sickness absence line on 01603 773311 (option 2).
If you miss a class and we are unaware of why, we will text you (and if you are under 18 your parent /carer) to check that you are ok and ask you to get in touch with us. Attendance is closely monitored for all students and poor attendance will mean that you may struggle to achieve all that you could from your course. It may also prevent you from progressing to study in future years.
