Sports massage sessions available in November and December

Students on City College Norwich’s Level 3 Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science are offering 30-minute sports massage appointments throughout November and December, for just £5 per session.

Appointments are available on Monday and Thursday afternoons, in the College’s Solutions Beauty Salon on its main campus on Ipswich Road.

Members of the public and amateur athletes of all abilities can book in for a rejuvenating sports massage concentrating on legs, upper and lower back.

Appointments are available on the following dates in November and December 2017:

Sports students joined by local MP as they prepare to spread health and exercise message

Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, joined a group of level 3 sports students who are taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) at City College Norwich last week.

The local MP attended a series of workshops and spent time talking to the participants, NCS leaders and college staff.

Over 45 students got involved in the highly engaging and interactive sessions, which were delivered by local charities Terrance Higgins Trust and Safe Haven.

New Leadership and Management Degree Apprenticeship launched

City College Norwich’s newly-launched Degree Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management has had an enthusiastic response from employers, with 28 apprentices from 12 different organisations starting the 3-year programme.

The Degree Apprenticeship, which is validated by the UEA, sees students gain CMI Chartered Manager status and provides an attractive new way for employers to develop their workforce and support individuals to consolidate and extend their management skills.

Students’ achievements celebrated at Further Education Awards

City College Norwich toasted the achievements of 21 outstanding further education students from 2016-17 at the Further Education (FE) Awards at the Assembly House, Norwich, on Thursday 14th September.

The select group of students who were honoured at the event each had their own remarkable and, in some cases, life changing stories to tell of their time at college.  Each award winner had been nominated by their tutors and lecturers from more than 4,000 students who studied with the college last year.

Start your outstanding career in teaching with Norfolk Teacher Training Centre (NTTC).

Visit NTTCs open evening to get all the information you need about becoming a teacher, to find out if teaching is for you and how you can start training for your outstanding career in teaching.

At the open evening you will meet the Director of NTTC, Paul McCann, and current trainees, learn how to get into teaching, find out more about our one year training programme and get advice on finance, bursaries and the application process.
